В одной и той же гостинице не все номера одинаковы. Они могут отличаться по площади, интерьеру, месту расположения, даже по количеству и размеру кроватей. Этими отличиями и продиктована разница в цене на проживание. О том, что представляет собой тот или иной гостиничный номер, вообще-то говорят их названия. Правда, на английском языке, из-за чего не всем понятно, куда им предлагают поселиться, не навязывают ли чего лишнего и не обделяют ли необходимым.

Вы будете выглядеть достаточно искушенным путешественником, если запомните наиболее часто встречающиеся квалификации номеров:

Single («сингл») – номер предназначен для одной персоны. Но в гостиницах обычно таких номеров немного, поэтому путешественника-одиночку могут разместить в номере с двумя кроватями. Но без подселения и доплаты (за «дабл» вы заплатите, как за «сингл»).

Double («дабл») – номер, предназначенный для двух персон. В нем может быть две кровати, одна queen, либо одна king. Такие номера подходят для людей, которые делят постель. А вод если вы путешествуете с коллегой, то вам необходимо заказать Twin («твин») – номер с двумя раздельными кроватями.

Superior – номер повышенной комфортности. Обычно он больше, чем выше описанные номера, и может отличаться особенностями расположения: угловая комната или с видом на море и т.д. В таких номерах размер кровати может быть разным, в зависимости от гостиницы.

Junior suite – просторный номер-полулюкс. Как правило, это одна большая комната с зонированным пространством – спальня и гостиная разделены условно. Но в некоторых гостиницах между этими комнатами действительно есть стена.

Suite – номер-люкс, в котором несколько отдельных комнат, например, 1–3 спальни, гостиная и столовая. В таких номерах любят останавливаться молодожены, бизнесмены и люди, планирующие долгое пребывание, т.к. здесь условия почти «как дома». И непременно – «кинг»-кровать!

DeLuxe – одни из самых дорогих номеров. В разных гостиницах степень их комфорта может отличаться, но неизменной остается размах отведенной жилой площади – минимум 35 кв.м. По возможности, в этих номерах лучшие виды из окна. Категория deluxe включает номера-апартаменты, президентские номера. Постояльцы обычно пользуются различными бонусами от гостиницы.

В описании номеров высшего уровня может встречаться определение ensuite, означаюшее, что ванная комната в номере соединена со спальней.

Способы привлечения туристов становятся все изощреннее. Трудно даже представить и поверить, в каких отелях предлагается им отдохнуть. Портал Budget Travel составил рейтинг самых необычных.

Тем, кто ратует за единство природы и человека, идеально подойдет отель

Giraffe Manor (пригород кенийской столицы Найроби). Он размещен на территории приюта для жирафов. Эти животные даже заглядывают в окна номеров и слизывают с тарелок пищу.

В австрийском городе Оттенсхейм находится отель Das Park , все номера которого расположены в 10-тонных кусках огромных бетонных труб диаметром 2,5 метра, выложенных на зеленом газоне. В трубах есть кровати, тумбочки с лампами, матрасы и подушки. Прочие удобства – на улице.

Номера голландской гостиницы Harbour С rane (пригород Амстердама) размещены на высоченном строительном кране, который по желанию посетителей поворачивается на 360 градусов. С высоты открывается чудесный вид на море.

Небольшой двухэтажный особняк Dog Bark Park Inn в штате Айдахо выполнен в виде двух очаровательных собак. Здесь приветствуются посетители с животными. Собачья тема продолжается и внутри здания. Даже стены над посетителями украшены силуэтами четвероногих питомцев.
