will/would

1.We use will/won't to make predictions about future.
-You must work hard for the exam. It won't be easy.
Sometimes we wish to express a prediction about the future that someone made in the past. For this we often use would/wouldn't.
-We had to hurry to get him to the hospital. We knew it would be too late otherwise.
2. We can make confident predictions about the present based on our knowledge or experience with will/won't/
-It's five o'clock. Janet will be in Paris now.
3. To refer to something which we feel certain has happened we use will have+past participle.
-He knows everything, so he will have received our letter.
We use won't have +past participle to refer to something which we fell certain has not happened.
-He can't give us any answer. He won't have read the book.
4. We often ue will when talking about capacity or ability.
-The olympic stadium in Sydney will hold 110,000 people.
5. We use will /would to describe an annoying habit or merely a habit.
-He will always smoke in my presence.
-He would read newspapers in the evening.
6. We often use will/would/won't/wouldn't to criticise inanimate objects.
